New LPYF Educational Scholarship
The LPYF District is proud to announce the formation of a new educational scholarship. Each year, the District will award two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships to two 8th graders who have shown exceptional sportsmanship and scholastic achievement. The scholarship may be used to pay tuition at any college or university of higher education. The details of the application and other requirements have yet to be finalized but will be posted to the website as soon as they are available. The scholarships are funded through sponsorships and other donations as well as District fund raising activities. If you would like to contribute to the fund, please contact the District here.

Conference Rules Update
One major change was made to the UCFC rules for the upcoming season. Starting this year, the 5th grade teams will be split into an A and B division, just like in grades 6th-8th. All teams will be formed around junior high school boundaries, with each junior high providing at least one A team. These divisions work great in the older grades by providing each player a better opportunity to develop their skills and more playing time at the positions they want.

The 7th and 8th grades will now have the opportunity, thanks to Coach McGeary, to play under the lights on the Lone Peak High School field and experience the feel of high school football.

Referees Needed!
For any adults wishing to get involved with refereeing youth and/or high school football, the Utah County referee association is accepting applications and will provide training. It's a great way to earn a little extra money on the side. Email Us for further information.

Get Your Own!
As the budget allows, we will continue to replace our older helmets, starting with the older grades and working down. If any of you wish to purchase your own Speed helmets, we have arranged for special pricing with Riddell. You can purchase the helmets for $150, the same price given to the District. This price includes an upgraded hard chin strap (+$9.99) and inflatable S-pads (+$15.00). The normal price for this helmet with upgrades would be $207 plus shipping.
Because the helmets have inflatable pads, your player will most likely be able to wear one for several years. And if you at some future time decide you no longer need the helmet, the District will be happy to purchase it from you at a prorated price, provided that it has been recently recertified. Welcome to the home of the Lone Peak Youth Football Knights. We are part of the Utah County Football Conference (The UCFC) and the proud sponsor of youth football in Highland, Alpine, and Cedar Hills, Utah, where we serve over 600 players.
Our football teams compete against the other Districts in the Conference: Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Westlake, American Fork, and Juan Diego.
